II Workshop on Fundamental Fields and Compact Objects
The II Workshop on Fundamental Fields and Compact Objects will be held in person at the Institute of Physical Sciences, UNAM-Morelos, Mexico, 17–19 November 2026.
The primary aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers working on black holes and other compact astrophysical objects, fostering scientific discussion and promoting new collaborations. The workshop will provide an opportunity to exchange ideas on recent developments in the field, with particular emphasis on the interplay between fundamental fields, gravitation, and the physics of compact objects.
A further objective is to provide early-career researchers with a broad and accessible overview of current research directions and recent advances in the different areas represented at the workshop. In this way, the meeting will facilitate interaction between established researchers and younger scientists, encouraging the development of new research perspectives and collaborations.
The scientific programme will consist of in-person talks by senior members, short talks by early-career members and online presentations by the members of the NewFunFiCO network, with time devoted to open discussions. This format is intended to encourage an informal and meaningful exchange of ideas and to promote interactions beyond the individual presentations.
The workshop will be conducted primarily in person. Registration will open on September 4 and remain open until October 31.
Members of the NewFunFiCO network are encouraged to submit an abstract for consideration for an oral presentation.
